Prepaid SIM cards are very easy to buy and install, however you need to follow the following process: buy the SIM card in the state of Brazil where you’ll use it the most because you’ll have to pay the interstate roaming when moving to other states. You need to inform the shop where you’ll buy it that you do not have a CPF and the person should install it on your phone. Make sure to finalize the process and test the phone before leaving the shop . People in shops are very helpful , especially with foreigners and they will help you to do so. If you plan to use it mostly here it’s better to wait being in Porto Seguro or Trancoso to buy it.

We incentivize volunteers to catch up with portuguese in order to better connect with brazilian people, however we are always available to switch to english or french to ensure a proper understanding of the Permaculture lessons and volunteering activities.
